The Personnel Dept is an award winning outsourced HR Management services company based in Lincoln, helping hundreds of employers in the County and beyond. We also have a large client base in London. We endeavour to keep all the employers we work with sane by reducing the stresses, hassles and costs out of employing people.

2006 – The Personnel Dept was established by Neil Buck, operating as a sole trader, after his University Masters course research identified that many business owners and leaders just wanted (and desperately needed) a 'go to' professional to help them with their HR function when they didn't have the time, skills or knowledge themselves. The idea was that they needed own Personnel Dept outside the business — to call on when required, just as if they were down the corridor like in larger organisations. Hence the name was born! Started offering full outsourced and project (one-off) based HR advice and support to SME's.

 

2009 – Converted to a private limited company – The Personnel Dept Management Consultancy Ltd, trading as The Personnel Dept.

 

2012 – Two additional complimentary services were added to our offering, furthering the "one-stop" shop approach — Recruitment and Training & Development

 

2011-13 – Three additional online HR management tools were added:

  • Personality Profiling Assessments — D.I.S.C. system
  • HR Partner — our HR Information and document storage system (cloud based)
  • Dinamiks — our Appraisal and Performance Tool

Professional Indemnity Insurance:

Up to £2m (never been called upon!)

 

Professional Memberships:

We are full professional members of CIPD – Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.

The Company is an active member of the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
